1.Can I use the regular type instead of the heavy-duty aluminum foil?
No. Heavy-duty aluminum foil can handle almost all the uses of the regular version, and vice versa. However, if you just need more strength, you can simply fold the regular aluminum foil in half. It will be stronger and can even be as strong as the heavy-duty one.
2. Can I reheat the food wrapped in aluminum foil using the microwave oven?
No. Although many recipes may require aluminium foil in the microwave oven to make it easier to use these containers, it is best to avoid combining them to prevent the possibility of burning or even explosion.
3. Should I use the matte or glossy side of the aluminum foil?
The sides of the aluminum foil vary due to the manufacturing process rather than the coating, so the thermal conductivity of both sides is the same. However, to prevent adhesion, it is recommended to use the glossy side of the aluminum foil.
4. Can aluminium foil catch fire?
Yes. However, the combustion or melting temperature of aluminium is significantly higher, exceeding 1200°F. Therefore, you can hardly burn it.
Unless you use aluminium foil in a microwave oven, please use it in the kitchen.
5. Can ordinary aluminum foil cut my hand?
Yes, and it hurts even more than cutting paper! However, since aluminum is non-toxic to the human body, you only need to make sure that there are no remaining fragments on the wound before applying plaster to treat it.
6. How to measure the thickness of aluminum foil?
Most box packages indicate the width and length of the aluminum foil, but not the thickness. Therefore, if you want to know how thick your foil is, you can measure it with a micrometer. Or you can use the projection: weight = length x width x thickness x 2.7g/m3 to calculate.
